About Us

The Setuu Roots

The idea of The Setuu was born from a deep love for rooted Indian art, the kind that has lived in our motherland for generations. Art grounded in devotion, mythology, architecture, and storytelling. Over time, these traditions have evolved, yet their essence has remained intact, carried forward through generations. At The Setuu, we believe that wherever you go, a part of your identity should travel with you. The spaces we inhabit should reflect the culture that shaped us.

This belief led us to a simple question: why doors? In traditional Indian homes, doors were storytellers. They reflected the people who lived inside, their culture, beliefs, and roots. Intricate carvings, arches, colors, and motifs turned entrances into expressions of identity. Today, in a world of identical apartments and uniform doors, that individuality has faded. The Setuu exists to bring that storytelling back. Inspired by the idea of a bridge, much like the symbolic Ram Setu, our work connects heritage with contemporary living. Through our collections, we reinterpret traditional Indian motifs in ways that feel modern, yet cultural.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

Founder - Nabha

Born and raised in Mumbai, I grew up surrounded by the textures, colors, and chaos that make India so visually alive. I studied Interior Design at Sir J.J. School of Art and later pursued Set Design for Film at SCAD in the United States, but even before that, I was always creating, with a paintbrush, sketchbook, or camera in hand.

Art and architecture have always shaped the way I see the world. Over time, I felt a strong pull to turn that love into something meaningful, something that celebrates Indian art and storytelling.

As our cultural aesthetic is being rediscovered and embraced with pride, The Setuu was born from that moment.

Inspired by the idea of Ram Setu, a bridge built with faith and intention, The Setuu is my attempt to build a bridge of my own:

From Roots to Revival.

Through every design, I hope to bring that connection into people’s homes.
